The Wrath of Pluto…the Internal Reformer
So what is it about Pluto that makes it so scary? I recently had the experience of being on the receiving end of someone that has Pluto connections to my Birth(day) Cards or Destiny cards. Our Pluto connections are energies and people that we have a strong attraction reaction to. We don’t have this outside trait or energy in ourselves, yet we need it to transform us. Total consummation. The planet of war and mass destruction takes no prisoners. And the only way to get it is to die and be reborn. We either experience it to the fullest or it crushes us from within; usually both.
We all know that Pluto is the planet of transformation, death and rebirth. It is the King, nay GOD, of the Underworld, that which we want to keep hidden. It is the subconscious realm in our minds, that which we dare not tread for fear of losing ourselves and our carefully crafted identity. Ask any Scorpio or Plutonian person if people fear them, or the very least, have strong reactions to them, and they will answer yes. YES.
Once this Plutonian type of connection with someone else is “activated”, the unconscious person, usually well-minded and in their empowered state, totally loses it. Has an extreme reaction, blocks us, offends us, denies our power, hurls insults like snowflakes silently falling onto a rural bridge. From our perspective, we are the adult holding the kid’s head at bay while they take swings… kicking and screaming. To quote the The Clash, “one day it’s fine and next it’s black”.
You see… in the Destiny Cards system, we are obsessed with our Pluto person, and what universal energies they represent in our life at that moment. We need what they inherently have within; yet we can’t get it from them, it comes from within ourselves. The change, the metamorphosis, the internal devouring of our soul’s previous embodiment becomes the gift of this Pluto connection. And thus, if one is not ready to embody the trait or energy that is presented, or does not recognize the challenge at hand, destruction occurs between the two people instead. The connection is broken. The relationship destroyed. Darkness prevails.
Unanswered Pluto has the ability to earthquake our entire world. One that is rebuilt brick by brick over the rubble and torrential landscape. Pluto requires the deepest dive into self-inquiry, self-destruction, and finally self-transformation. Burning in the ashes of ourselves, we burst into the Phoenix reborn in the earthly realm. Only then do we get to experience the benefits, which in the Destiny Cards is called our Cosmic Reward. Until then, we are hopelessly powerless against our strong emotions and undertow of destructive energies which could have catapulted our healing to new vistas of life.
